Vehicle History Report

Z28 was the most famous Chevrolet RPO (regular production option) ever. Beginning in 1967 Chevrolet offered this hard-core competition option to race-minded buyers who wanted to compete in SCCA racing with their new Camaro. What eventually became just a slight performance upgrade began life as a hair-raising racing option for those who refused to settle for less. Here's your chance to own a legend!

1969 Camaro RS/SS Convertible in Hugger Orange with Black Interior.
This car was originally built the second week of January 1969.
It carries a CE warranty L78 375 HP replacement block with a casting number 3955272 and a casting date of 3/21/1969, which is just over 60 days after the car was built.
Since the original VIN Stamped engine is not present and I don't have a Broadcast Sheet, I can't make a claim that this is a number matching, but it is as close to perfect as you will find anywhere.
The bodywork is expertly finished, great gaps and accurate panel alignment all around.
Amazing hugger orange paint - looks as good or better than new.  The paint is two-stage urethane and it has the hockey-stick stripe instead of the usual SS stripes.
Steel cowl-induction hood.
Hidden RS headlight doors are fully functional.
Cowl induction air cleaner assembly with reproduction decals.
Chromed valve covers that were standard equipment on the big block SS cars.
Correct markings on the hoses, vintage tower hose clamps, a new alternator with the oversized pulley, and beautiful restored cast iron exhaust headers.
Muncie M21 close ratio 4-speed manual transmission.
12-bolt with 3.73 gears.
Just about the only non-original component is the oversized dual exhaust system, which includes a pair of Flowmaster mufflers in place of the original transverse piece, sounds awesome!
New gas tank, new fuel lines, freshly rebuilt brakes, and all-new hardware throughout.
Rally wheels with reproduction F70-14 Goodyear Wide Tread bias-ply tires.
New seat covers, fresh carpets, and reproduction door panels.
The original console has been fully restored.
The gauges have all been rebuilt, including the original speedometer with the optional speed reminder.
